The La Ka Le'l Be Pow Wow hosted by the Carson Colony will take place for the 31st year during the Nevada Day weekend. This event is FREE to the public everyone is invited! It is a drug-free and alcohol-free family event.

The Pow Wow begin Fridays night. There will be Native American tribes from all over the US and Canada coming to participate. There are also vendors from all over the US and Canada coming to sell their arts and crafts. There will be many food vendors as well.

La Ka Lel Be Pow Wow Princess Contest

Applications for the Princess Contest will be available June 15, 2014; the deadline to apply is Sept 3, 2014. The princess applicant must complete an application and sell at least 150 raffle tickets to qualify for the competition.

CALLING ALL PAST PRINCESSES!
We are currently looking for any and all previous princesses for a special celebration of Nevada's 150th Birthday!

Raffle Tickets
Raffle tickets are being sold for various prizes, including a flat screen TV, bead work, and many other prizes to be announced soon. Tickets are 1 for a $1 or 6 for $5.

There is also an annual Halloween costume contest along with a lot of other fun stuff through out the weekend.
