Board Unveils Nevada Day Parade Poster for 2024
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Nevada Day, Inc. Board of Directors unveiled the 2024 Nevada Day Parade poster which was designed by a 4th year student from Carson High School. Audrey Wood, a fourth year student at Carson High School, took first place for her design featuring this year’s parade theme and Nevada State Motto “All for our Country.” Her design will be featured on this year’s parade poster, program and button.
“We had some amazing entries for the poster contest, but Audrey’s design stood out and fit this year’s theme so well. We are really excited to be featuring work from local students this year,” stated Jennell Peck, Nevada Day, Inc. President. “The state motto has not been used as a theme before as far back as our records show. We haven’t promoted a student’s work in this way before
either.”
The parade entries are filling up. Out of 200 spaces, there are only approximately 40 left. Anyone hoping to have a place in the parade, get your application in soon. You can do it online at NevadaDay.com with a credit card. The parade entries will be closed once they reach 200.
“The Board has approved 200 and that is what we are going with this year,” added Jennell Peck. “We expect more decorations on the entries as well. Any floats or vehicles should have decorations on them. Nobody wants to see a plain car driving down the street. It’s a parade! Make it special!”
