The Beard Contest is held immediately after the parade ends at McFadden Plaza in the heart of the city.  Anyone with a beard can sign up to be in the contest to win a trophy, just show up before it starts.   Eleven categories are judged including the best overall beard, longest beard, fullest beard, reddest beard, blondest beard, whitest beard, blackest beard, best salt and pepper beard, best groomed beard, scruffiest beard, and the most-bearded community.
